Tri Asih Foundation
The Company is well aware that social responsibility & harmonious relationships both to customers and the surrounding community are closely related to the sustainability of the Company's business. Therefore, the Company carries out its social responsibilities towards customers, employees, the community & the environment in which it operates consistently & sustainably. This commitment is a manifestation of the mission of providing optimal added value to stakeholders while aiming at improving the quality of life and welfare of the Indonesian people.
In carrying out CSR activities, the Company refers to the applicable laws and regulations, especially Law No. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, Law Number 25 of 2007 concerning Investments & Government Regulation No. 47 of 2012 concerning Limited Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility.
Capital is committed to regularly organizing CSR activities and starting to lead to sustainable CSR activities.
Along with the momentum of the Capital Life Indonesia Anniversary, in one of the series of events, Capital held CSR activities.
Following CSR Capital's target, one of which is to focus on the field of Education, for 2019 it is precisely on June 27, 2019, that CSR Capital activities begin by assisting the Tri Asih Foundation located at Jl. Budi Swadaya 2, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta.
Tri Asih Foundation is a Catholic Foundation that is active in the fields of education, therapy, vocational training & nursing homes for mentally disabled people.
People with mental disabilities in the Tri Asih Foundation are divided into 3 categories:
• Educable
Consisting of mentally retarded children with IQ levels around 50-75. Consists of Kindergarten to Vocational level. They are not able to read and write but can be directed through skills for example: sewing & weaving. 4 children, accompanied by 1 teacher. They go to school starting at pk. 07.15-12.50. There are around 140 of them.
• Trainable
Consisting of mentally retarded children with IQ levels around 30-50. They are given basic education to train their independence but limited to very basic needs. For example: how to wear clothes, how to take a bath, how to wear shoes, how to eat, etc. There are around 40 of them.
• Nursing Home
Consists of mentally disabled children aged 11-55 years. IQ levels between 30-75. Some are not even detected. Their conditions are various. There are orphans and some who still have parents. There are around 50 of them.
The total number of mentally disabled children is about 230 children with 222 nurses (both trainers/assistants).
To support their needs, PT. Capital Financial Indonesia Tbk provided assistance amounting to Rp 39,120,000 in the form of:
• Cash funds for the purchase of basic needs for children with mental disabilities
• Educational toys to support occupational therapy worth
In the future, we hope to be able to support Tri Asih Foundation's children to be skilled in skills activities. At present they have gained knowledge in sewing and weaving skills. In 2020, we intend to provide training for educators in the form of painting skills, and the use of patchwork, wool, calico cloth, etc.
