RMco.id Rakyat Merdeka - Fintech peer to peer (P2P) lending Tokomodal managed by PT Toko Modal Mitra Usaha is now one of seven fintech lending that has been licensed by the Financial Services Authority (OJK). Tokomodal was sure that lending that could be done would be faster.
Tokomodal co-founder Chris Antonius said that after being established in 2017, Tokomodal officially holds the status of an OJK licensed fintech P2P lending since May this year. With this status, Tokomodal is even more confident to run a loan and loan business that helps MSME entrepreneurs shop owners who are members of the Alfamart Guided Outlet (OBA).
At present, many OBAs are still having difficulty developing their businesses due to limited capital. "Tokomodal faces can help overcome this problem," he said while discussing with the media, in his office, Wednesday (9/18).
While about the opportunity to penetrate, he also assessed that the potential is still very large. The number of OBA currently reaches around 40,000 stalls. Of this amount, only around 10,000 OBA have become borrowers in Tokomodal.
"Until the end of this year we are targeting to serve 20,000 OBA. On the other hand, we are sure the number of OBA will also continue to grow," Chris said.
His optimism was boosted thanks to the increasing number of transactions in Tokomodal. Where on average there are one hundred thousand OBA loan transactions per quarter on the Tokomodal platform.
Meanwhile, in terms of loan value, up to the second quarter of this year he said the value of loans that had been channeled by Tokomodal to OBA shop owners touched Rp 150 billion. Then in terms of interest, he said the amount of interest given to borrowers was claimed to be low. For one OBA, he said the interest given was 0.5 percent per week.
"During the promotion period, if they can pay under seven days, the interest is zero percent. They also do not incur administrative costs, "he said.
According to Chris, his party also scored a successful rate of return on the 90th day (TKB 90) perfectly at 100 percent. This is supported by strict risk mitigation from the start of an OBA applying for a loan.
"We are also working with Alfamikro to survey the stall to make sure the stall is indeed feasible," he said.
Tokomodal President Director, Aidil Fathany added, for now his side was still focused on working on the OBA in channeling loans. "We focus on helping OBA to increase their competitiveness," he said.
In addition to making it easy to get funding, Aidil said it also worked with Alfamikro to improve the ability of the owners of these stalls. Such as financial management training and inventory management. [DIT]
